Daegu-Gyeongbuk KOTESOL is kicking off the new year of meetings/workshops with a NEW VENUE and we'd like you all to join us. Come out on Saturday, March 4th from 3pm to 5pm for an informal and fun meeting at the Ecology Oriental Wellness Experience Center on Oriental Medicine Street in Daegu. Feel free to bring a friend and invite your colleagues, too.

Busan-Gyeongnam KOTESOL February Chapter meeting

At our last meeting, we had a great time discussing teaching ideas and watching the mockumentary Chalk. 

More of you are back in town, so now is a good time to learn something new before you start a new semester. 

We will have two presentations this meeting.

Andrew MacIssac will be our first presenter. He is going to tell us about how we can perform research in our own classrooms.

Our second presenter will be Jessica Lynn. She is going to tell us how we can use surprise and suspense to keep our students engaged.

David Shaffer Represents KOTESOL on KBS World Radio

In early December, Korea TESOL’s first Vice President David Shaffer went to Seoul for a KBS World Radio Interview.  He was there to represent KOTSOL in a taping of “Touch Base in Seoul,” a weekly interview show hosted by Yooree Kim.  During the interview, Shaffer answered questions about himself as well as about KOTESOL.

Tyler Clark has spent the past decade teaching English to a wide variety of learners in South Korea. He is currently a lecturer at Gyeongin National University of Education's Incheon campus, a position he has held since 2009 and that primarily sees him instructing university freshman in conversational English skills.
