Beginning in 2022, The English Connection initiated the TEC Article of the Year Award. The recipient of the award is selected from among those authors whose articles have been selected for inclusion in the four issues of The English Connection published in that year. This award focuses on the emerging ELT writer. It consists of (a) a certificate in a velvet folder with a gilded KOTESOL logo and (b) a one-year membership in Korea TESOL. The award-winning article and its author are announced at the annual Korea TESOL International Conference.
