These Standards apply to persons submitting work to KOTESOL as well as to KOTESOL in the evaluation of that work. The Standards apply to all KOTESOL-related reports and presentations, both written and oral, delivered digitally or in person, from the Korea TESOL Journal to the KOTESOL...

"In a show of solidarity and support for educators facing hardships and precarity due to COVID-19, KOTESOL is moving the 2020 National Conference online and making it free for everyone."

Never before has one of the biggest conferences in Korea been free... and never before has it been this easy to attend for every educator in the world.

April 25, 2020 marks a new era for English teachers. Instead of setting the alarm clock to wake up early for a KTX ride to a university somewhere in Korea,...

2020 KOTESOL International Conference Postponed

KOTESOL's International Conference, originally scheduled for October of 2020, has been postponed until next year.

There is no need to recount here the effects COVID-19 is having in Korea, and in many other countries the world over. Foremost in our minds is the health and safety of our membership and attendees, and consequently we have decided that the most prudent course of action is to delay the conference until the spring of 2021. This will necesarily mean some changes to the conference, though we don't know the full extent of these as of yet.

We will keep you all updated...

We hope the situation will stabilize by the early summer; in the meantime, keep an eye out for innovative online professional development opportunities from the organization. Check back in May for an update, and please stay safe and healthy!

Yongin Chapter Celebrates Highest Turnout at a Conference and Looks for Candidates

Designed. Cultivated. Showcased. The presenters and attendees at Yongin's annual conference were asked to consider their English Langauge Teaching (ELT) and Learning experiences. A driving  question: Can we intentionally design these kinds of experiences? The regional conference was held on November 9th at Kangnam University, which turned out to be a beautiful fall day. Over 50 participants helped to make this the highest turnout in recent memory. To close the evening, a Bar-B-Que reception was held under the bright light of the passing moon. However, more important than the numbers, the...
