On Saturday, June 27th, 2015 the Jeju Chapter KOTESOL held it’s first regional conference themed, Blending Tradition with Innovation.  It was hugely successful thanks to the wonderful presentations.

Busan Gyeongnam Round Table Discussion

Please join us at Busan Chapter's July round table discussion.  

The round table discussion is a more casual format than our regular meetings.  Three to four people will lead the discussion.  Each one will give short 10-15 minute presentation on a topic then open the floor for questions, comments, and discussion.

The topic under discussion at the workshop for June is Dyslexia in Foreign Language Learning.  Although I've studied psychology for several years and have a little background knowledge on dyslexia, I have to admit that it is not something I have given any real consideration to in my English teaching.  I currently have a student who, although obviously very intelligent, has a real problem with reading, which sparked an interest in how I can better help students with learning difficulties in my classroom.

Jeju KOTESOL Regional Conference

On June 27, 2015 Jeju KOTESOL will hold its first KOTESOL Regional Conference. Regional conferences are designed to bring a wider range of resources and expertise to areas that would otherwise go without.

James has been involved with Yongin KOTESOL since late 2016. First as a member, presenter, and manager with the national Publicity Team. Then, he turned his focus towards the local chapter and has held positions of Workshop Coordinator, Regional Conference Chairperson.
