KOTESOL’s annual business meeting (ABM) will be held on Sunday, October 13, starting at 4:15, following the closing ceremony of the international conference. Reports on KOTESOL’s past year will be given, and election results will be announced.
Also at the ABM, proposed amendments to the constitution and by-laws may be voted on. Prior to the submission deadline, we have received one bylaws amendment proposal with the requisite endorsements. Membership Social at the International Conference

The KOTESOL Membership Committee invites all KOTESOL members to join us for an evening of camaraderie at the 2019 KOTESOL International Conference! On Saturday, October 12, from 6:15-7:15 p.m., a membership wine-and-cheese social will be held at Sookmyung Women's University, the conference venue. All current members are welcome, whether they're attending the conference or not. Light refreshments will be served.
Co-sponsored by the Busan-Gyeongnam, Daegu-Gyeongbuk, Daejeon-Chungcheong, Gwangju-Jeonnam, and Seoul Chapters, as well as the Membership Committee and KOTESOL President.

KOTESOL Proceedings 2018 is now available online. This is a volume of papers submitted by presenters at the 2018 Korea TESOL International Conference held in Seoul in October of 2018. Julian Warmington

Julian Warmington first learned of the climate crisis in 1986 with the impact of airplane fuel on the greenhouse gas effect, and unnatural rise in the global death rate of frogs by 1991. He ignored it until 2011, when speakers at Gwangju City’s first World Human Rights Cities Forum spoke of the impacts of animal agriculture, especially on the climate. This helped his appreciation of the film Cowspiracy (2014). When KOTESOL’s social justice special interest group launched in 2015, he joined immediately, travelling South Korea extensively, offering sessions on climate change in ESL in 2017...

KOTESOL approved its Code of Conduct for all KOTESOL-related matters, face-to-face and digital, earlier this year. At our recent National Council meeting on September 22, a slight revision was made of the third paragraph under the “At Face-to-Face Events” section of the Code.
