Download Whova and enjoy the conference more!
Make the most of your International Conference experience with the Whova conference app. The app will allow you to scroll through the conference agenda, read session abstracts so that you can plan your weekend. The app also provides additional networking opportunities, interactive venue information maps and directions, "strands" to help organize a schedule according to your interests, and a chance to enter the conference photo contest.
In the app, you will receive important conference announcements and have the opportunity to ask the questions to conference organizers.
If you pre-registered, you should have received an email with the app download and login instructions. If you are planning to register on-site, download the app now, and we will provide you with the invitation code at the conference.
As we did last year, the International Conference KOTESOL will offer attendees the opportunity to go paperless by using Whova. This will provide attendees with a digital version of the conference book and much more.
In the app participants will be able to peruse the schedule and read presenters abstracts and bios, they can select the sessions that interest them and build their conference schedule. Attendees will also be able to provide KOTESOL with instant feedback during the event and share their thoughts with other attendees.
Most of all the app promises to make networking easier. Attendees can set up a profile, and then explore the profiles of presenters and attendees. It will also be possible to send in-app messages, and exchange contact info.
This year both the conference book and app are free. However, when completing online pre-registration form attendees are asked if they would like a book or would rather go paperless, please choose wisely.
The invitation code for the app will be sent out to all pre-registered participants at the end of September. For those who register onsite, the invitation code will be available at the registration area, and at the information desk.
At the conference, KOTESOL will have power strips available for recharging mobile devices.
