Dongguk University, Seoul, South Korea, is looking for applicants to fill a position for a non-tenure track, full-time assistant professor of EFL. This appointment is renewable based on your performance.
Position:
Foreign professor of English starting from the first semester of 2023

Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. required: Majors related to English education, TESOL, or English Literature (preferred).
2. More than 2 years of English teaching Experience (University level). Graduate-level teaching experience preferred.
Duties:
1. 9 hours of teaching online/offline English courses per week
2. Mandatory attendance at all school events, possibly including:
-Saturday school social events, such as MTs, hiking trips, colloquiums, festivals, etc.
-dinners and meetings with students to support student clubs
-meetings and dinners with students for counseling and team building
3. Editing and proofreading course materials, research papers, exams, and university documents
4. Creating course materials
Terms of contract, compensation, and benefits:
1) Biennial contract (can be renewed)
2) Annual salary: 36,000,000 – 40,000,000 Korean won
3) Summer and winter vacation (4 weeks each; 8 weeks total)
