Teaching English Through Dance: Movement as Language

Abhishek Rajamanickam (Lac Hong Bilingual School, Vietnam)
Julie Ocden Banaue (Lac Hong Bilingual School, Vietnam)

Abstract

Discover innovative techniques for teaching English through creative movement and dance. In this workshop, we will explore how young learners can utilize movement as a bridge between their first language and English, and as a unique language of its own. By integrating dance into the curriculum, we can minimize the reliance on students' first language, creating a more immersive English learning environment. Join us to see how these dynamic methods can transform language acquisition for early learners.
