IC2023 Presenter Guide
On behalf of everyone at KOTESOL, we’d like to once again welcome you to the 30th Korea TESOL International Conference! The sessions you will lead are the backbone of our conference and will benefit all those who attend the conference.
This page contains important links and information.
A profile enhances the conference for you and the attendees!
Log in to EdZilla, go to the top right of the screen and click on the circle. Then, click on "Your KOTESOL 2023 Profile".
After that, click on "edit". You can add a picture and brief description of yourself. Or, a not-so-brief description. It's up to you!
Customising your page can increase your session's impact!
You can also customise your session page. You can provide materials like slides or handouts in advance, so that attendees can get a sense of your presentation and you can focus the session time.
You can either search for your session, or find it via your profile. Once you've found it, click on "more".
Then, click on "customise"
You can post images, information, and even provide files for download!
Rooms and Equipment
We are very fortunate to have all our regular sessions in SMU's Prime Building.
All our conference rooms are recently built or renovated and are both nice-looking and comfortable. Some rooms have individual-sized desks, while others have larger desks. The pictures below give you an idea of what you can expect:
With respect to tech: all rooms have a computer, as well as a projector and screen (or large monitor in the case of the two smaller rooms). For most presenters, all you will need to bring is a USB with your presentation on it (though we've found from experience that it's a wise idea to have a version 'in the cloud'). Consoles are easy to use, though the language will be Korean. Never fear, as we will have volunteers on-site to help you.
There are multiple places for you to insert your USB:
If you have any special needs, please do send us an email: conference.program@koreatesol.org
Revisions (if required)
If your proposal was accepted with revisions, please read the reviewers’ comments and make the necessary amends to your submission on EdZil.la. Typically, these are either small mechanical or stylistic issues. You may have been asked to add information the reviewers consider essential, or to clarify the language in order for attendees to more easily understand the aims and outcomes of your session.
The “Detailed Guidelines for Proposals” section on this page may be helpful: https://koreatesol.org/content/submit-proposal-kotesol2023
If you have questions about revisions, please contact Michael Free directly at: conference.program@koreatesol.org
