Description:
This field trip is a chance for English language teachers and other language education professionals to explore the Gwangju Biennale together, and to use the exhibition as an opportunity to reflect on teaching and learning. We will first meet outside at the entrance to Exhibition Hall with brief introductions, then enter the exhibition together with ample time for exploring freely, before reconvening at a comfortable gathering point outside to share our discoveries and reflections. This year's Biennale theme promises to investigate the topics of resistance, coexistence, solidarity, and care. Participants will be challenged to find connections between the artworks and their own experiences of these issues in teaching and learning, and to share these reflections. But most of all, this field trip is for enjoying the Biennale (with discounted ticket prices!), and getting together with other teachers.
Find out more about the Biennale theme at the Gwangju Biennale website.
