About Our Guest
Michael Griffin works mostly online in teacher training and development. In addition to working on the New School's MATESOL program, he frequently works with teachers from around the world through the U.S. State Department's Online Professional English Network (OPEN) program. He previously taught in South Korea, where he taught and trained future interpreters, current teachers, future teacher trainers, future business-people, and NGO workers, among others. A frequent presenter, Griffin has taught or presented in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, the U.S., Russia, Indonesia, South Korea, and Japan, in addition to numerous webinars. He is particularly interested in reflective practice, curriculum development, online learning, teacher education, teaching unplugged, and world Englishes.
