English Language for Academic Purposes
English Language for Academic Purposes (EAP) is an intensive language training program designed for students who wish to improve their English proficiency and be eligible for admission to the English-medium undergraduate degree programs at Kyungdong University Global. The program has been rapidly expanding for international students who wish to acquire comprehensive English training and pursue their higher studies in Korea. We encourage qualified candidates to apply for the EAP instructor position as summarized below.
Position: English Language for Academic Purposes (EAP) Instructor
Number of Openings: 5
Work-site: Kyungdong University Global (Goseong-gun, Gangwon State, Korea)
Type of Employment: Full-time
Term of Employment: One year (contract-based, renewable)
Starting Term: May / June 2025

Duties and Responsibilities:
Classroom instruction, contributing to curriculum development and enhancement, conducting language assessment and performance evaluation, student support and counselling, organizing, and participating in campus activities and events.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree with experience in TESOL/TESL/TEFL, Applied Linguistics, English, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
•Highly proficient in English (If applicable, nationalities from the listed countries in accordance with E-2 visa requirements: UK, Ireland, Australia, USA, Canada, South Africa, and New Zealand).
• Experience teaching English as a second language to non-native speakers, in an academic context.
• Strong understanding of foundational language skills development and academic language acquisition.
• Knowledge of assessment techniques and strategies to determine students' language proficiency levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and motivate students effectively.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students develop their language skills and succeed academically.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse student needs and learning styles.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with digital tools and resources for language instruction.
Renumeration and Benefits:
• Annual salary: Starting from KRW 32,000,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
