The Department of Business English at Daejeon University has openings for a part-time or full-time teaching position starting March 2022. The university is interested in professional EFL/ESL faculty with some business background.
Responsibilities: Teach 12 hours per week per semester spread across 5 days (if hired as a full-time instructor) or Teach 6 or 9 hours (if hired as a part-time instructor). Teach English courses related to business or English majors such as Intermediate English Conversation,
Business Conversation, English Presentation, English for writing emails, Preparation for OPIc Spoken English exam. The candidate should develop the curriculum of each course he/she is planning to teach.
Education Required: Master’s degree in TESL, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, Education or Business-related fields. PhD holders are encouraged to apply.
Experience Required: At least two years of teaching experience at the university level ( if applying as Assistant Professor), or two years of teaching experience in a foreign country. Teaching experience of business English is welcomed.
Period of Employment: March 1, 2022 – February 28, 2024 (renewable)
Language Requirement: Must be highly proficient in English; able to effectively communicate at the university level via spoken and written communication.
Benefits: Individual office space, payment of half of the health and pension insurance (mandated by the university).
Salary information: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. The minimum annual salary of about 30,000,000 KRW (if determined as Assistant Professor).
