Call for Proposals
The KOTESOL 2013 National Conference is a forum where educators share their research, teaching methodologies, and experience, as well as a venue for increased networking abilities. This year, the Daejeon-Chungcheong Chapter coupled with the revamped Professional Development SIG (special interest group) is in full-gear bringing in an international powerhouse speaker with the focus on professional development. A full-day on Saturday, balanced with professional development and planned networking opportunities among KOTESOLers nationwide, will be followed by a wine-and-cheese meet-and-greet that evening. A centralized hotel stay for Saturday evening will be arranged for those planning to attend the special Sunday (half-day) hands-on workshop, with the international speaker, in order to complete a weekend of great camaraderie and professional improvement.
The theme for this year is Developing Professionally: Plug-and-Play SLA Pedagogy; as such, the focus is placed on presentations and workshops that will allow educators to apply the newly gained conference knowledge and skills in their next week’s classes.
We invite proposals for workshops, colloquia, research reports, pecha kuchas, and poster presentations. Possible topics are as varied as the field of SLA itself; however, preference for those that take theory and bring it into practice will be given particular consideration. By the time of the National Conference, all presenters must be members of Korea TESOL. Applicants are encouraged to submit several proposals.
Proposal Submission Deadline: March 1, 2013
Each proposal will need to be submitted via the web-form: http://koreatesol.org/NatCon2013CallForProposalsWebform
