Presentation Title: Teaching Speaking in the Videoconferencing Context

Abstract:
The upcoming KOTESOL workshop entitled “Learning in the Videoconferencing Context” will
focus mainly on teaching and learning speaking skills, primarily through Zoom. This workshop
is geared toward helping all teachers learn (and share) new ideas that can be used when teaching in the video conferencing environment. Many of the strategies discussed will also be applicable to the regular, traditional brick-and-mortar classroom.

Presenter's Bio:
Gerald de la Salle has been teaching EFL at Korean universities for 20 years and teaching
internationally for 30 years. He has also taught online for nearly ten years. His EdD TESOL
degree specializes in “Learning in the Videoconferencing Context.” He can be contacted at
