This January Chapter Meeting, we are going to watch a movie on English learning, titled ‘I Can Speak'(2017) The movie is about the story of an elderly woman who builds a friendship with a junior civil service officer who begins to teach her English. Though the film is a comedy, the genre serves as a vehicle to discuss the deeper topic of Korean comfort women during World War II. Then we will discuss plans for next month's meeting. We are going to have a social gathering at Galmegi pub in PNU so don’t forget to bring your KOTESOL membership card to get a discount on food!
This event is organized by our Minji Kim, who holds the position of Historian on Busan-Gyeongnam KOTESOL Chapter Executive. Please RSVP on our Facebook page! You can contact Minji or Rhea for more information. See you there.
