Informative Discussion was had at June JNJ Workshop

For the last meeting of the spring workshops, JNJ KOTESOL had a discussion led by Madeleine Grace, the owner of an English study room in Mokpo, about finding balance in phonics education for young learners. We also heard from Ehean Kim, a Ph.D. student from Pennsylvania State University, who spoke on using dynamic assessment when teaching writing.

Our autumn workshops will kick off on the third Saturday in September with the topic of Ice Breakers in the Classroom.

We're currently accepting topic suggestions and taking applications for more autumn workshop speakers. If you or anyone you know would be interested in sharing some ideas for the classroom and/or tips for life in Korea by presenting at an upcoming workshop, please get in touch with jnj.presenters@gmail.com

We wish everyone a nice summer!

I'll leave you with a couple pictures from our workshop.
