Workshop: Speech-Language Pathology for Language Teachers
What do language teachers need to know about speech-language pathology? Speech-language pathology is a field of healthcare dealing with communication disorders. Many teachers have probably encountered learners experiencing communication disorders, but may have lacked specific knowledge or strategies. In this online workshop, the presenter will introduce speech-language pathology with a focus on the language teacher's perspective. There will also be some time for questions and answers. The Presenter
Jeong-Yun Choi is a speech-language pathologist at Osan City Speech Rehabilitation Center. She has also worked as a Ph.D. program lecturer at Ho-Seo University Language Education Center, a lecturer at Cheong-Ju University Language Education Center, and a language program coordinator at Bataan Angels Garden in the Philippines. She has a Bachelor of Speech-language Pathology from the Korean Nazarene University and a Master's in Korean Linguistics & Linguistics from Chung-Nam National University. She is currently a doctoral program student in the Korean Linguistics & Literature Department at Chung-Nam National University.
