How can I participate in the conference?

The conference is taking place both online (primarily via pre-recorded videos) and face-to-face at Sookmyung Women's University, Seoul, Korea. You may purchase a ticket that includes BOTH the face-to-face AND online portions, or you can choose ONLINE ONLY. The best prices will be available during the pre-registration period (March 1-April 10), but tickets may be purchased onsite for a slightly higher price. Additional details are available here

Onsite Registration Hours
Saturday, 4/29: 08:00-17:00
Sunday, 4/30: 08:00-13:00 (no conference passes available after 13:00)

If you're purchasing your ticket onsite, we can accept cash (KRW), domestic bank transfer (KRW), and PayPal (USD) only.

Do I have to be a KOTESOL member to attend the conference?

KOTESOL membership and international conference tickets are completely separate things, though they can be purchased and paid for together. Presenters must be KOTESOL members (with a few exceptions); regular attendees do not need to be KOTESOL members, but KOTESOL members get the best possible prices on tickets.

What will happen at the online portion of the conference?

The online portion of the conference will primarily comprise pre-recorded videos available for asynchronous viewing on our online platform, plus select live-streamed invited sessions, which should also be available later as recordings. All video recordings will be accessible for a month following the conference.

How can I join the online conference platform?

On Edzil.la, our online conference platform, you can find the asynchronous sessions, abstracts, virtual booths, session locations, a link to our conference chat space (Discord), your receipt and attendance certificate, and more. Click here to join Edzil.la; if you have any problems, step-by-step instructions are here and attached below.

How to get a ticket on Edzil.la:

  • Pre-registered attendees: A unique coupon code for a "free" (prepaid) ticket was sent to you via email (from registration@koreatesol.org). You must redeem this coupon code on Edzil.la to access your attendance certificate.
  • Presenters: If you registered by the deadline, you should have a ticket on Edzil.la already.
  • Onsite registrants: You will be given a unique coupon code when you purchase your conference pass. Just redeem this coupon code for a "free" (prepaid) ticket on Edzil.la. (To save time, we recommend creating an Edzil.la profile in advance! Join the site here.)
  • Online-only attendees: Buy your Edzil.la ticket directly on the site (must have an Edzil.la profile).

How can I watch the synchronous online (live-streamed) sessions?

One plenary session and two featured sessions will be synchronous online (live-streamed) sessions offered on Zoom. To access these sessions, you can come to the physical room listed on the schedule to watch the stream, or you can visit the session's page and click "Enter Zoom." You will automatically be redirected to the Zoom room. The Zoom links will be available (clickable) starting ten minutes prior to the beginning of each respective session. NOTE: To "enter" the Zoom rooms, you must have a ticket on Edzil.la (see above).

Can I get an attendance certificate?

Yes, digital participation certificates will be available for all ticketed attendees (both online and face-to-face) via our online platform starting soon after the conference ends. Certificates will be in your Edzil.la profile under "Your Ticket." (If you pre-registered or registered onsite as a regular/non-presenter attendee, make sure you've redeemed your unique access code!)

How can I get a receipt for my payment?

If you registered via the KOTESOL website (presenter registration; attendee in-person pre-registration), you can find an invoice in your KOTESOL online profile (http://koreatesol.org/user --> Orders). You can also find a receipt in your Edzil.la profile (under "Your Ticket").

If you bought an online-only ticket via Edzil.la, you can find a receipt in your Edzil.la profile (under "Your Ticket").

If you are registering onsite at the conference, our cashiers will provide a receipt.
