Today’s fast-paced, technologically advanced world offers numerous ways for educators to connect with language learners and creative opportunities for learners to connect to language. Abstract: Mobile Learning in EFL - What do the Students Think? (Brendon Pearson)
Mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets have become ubiquitous in modern society, but the ways in which they can effectively be utilized in education is still a matter of prolific discussion and debate among researchers in a variety of fields. One point on which the literature concurs is that the opinions of students themselves may offer some valuable insights into how the affordances of mobile devices can be more effectively utilized. Thus, this dissertation reports on a study designed to assess the perceptions of Korean EFL students in regards to the use of tablets as primary learning tools. (Bio below)
