New year, new location!

The first Daegu-Gyeongbuk KOTESOL workshop of 2016 will be held on Saturday, January 9th at 3 pm on the 3rd floor of Elmo Study Cafe in Daegu. The workshop will be divided into two parts: an introduction to Seesaw: The Learning Journal by William Wickham and an interactive session on professional development by Jeroen Root. As always, the workshop is free and members and non-members are welcome alike!

1. ePortfolio
Abstract: Imagine a class where every paper, conversation, video creation or web link could be chronicled, shared and commented on all in one app. Seesaw: The Learning Journal allows you to do just that. In this interactive workshop you get hands on experience with this easy to set up and use app. We will also do a bit of app smashing and then brainstorm possible activities or projects Seesaw could facilitate.

2. Professional Development
Abstract: It’s time to hit the ground running in 2016! With the New Year upon us, educators should be making New Year’s resolutions to pursue professional development. But where to begin? In this short, interactive mini-session, we will brainstorm, share our ideas and narrow these down into clear objectives which we can set to motivate ourselves and prosper in 2016.
