About our Guest
Peadar Callaghan was president of KOTESOL between 2014 and 2016. During this time, he was very focused on organizational issues and pushing for the adoption of new methods for reaching members. He taught in Korea for over ten years before moving on to teach at KFUPM in Saudi Arabia. He has given a variety of presentations at various conferences around the world on topics including the use of comic books in ESL, continuous assessment methodologies for the classroom, how to encourage more speaking through the use of graphic organizers, and gamification in education. Since September, he has been a postgraduate student at Tallinn University studying digital learning game design, while continuing to lecture on gamification and design games for teaching the English language.
