About Our Guest
James Taylor is a DELTA-qualified EFL teacher, teacher-trainer, and materials writer currently based in Brazil. A former president and co-founder of BELTA (the Belgian English Language Teachers Association), he has taught English to adults and teenagers in Brazil, South Korea, Belgium, and Costa Rica since 2007. He is currently specializing in bespoke one-to-one lessons for business and exam students.
In August 2018, James self-published his first ebook, entitled How Was Your Weekend? 1001 Discussion Questions To Use With Your EFL/ESL Students. His second book, Raise Up!, co-written with Ilá Coimbra, demonstrates how mainstream ELT materials can (and should) be more inclusive and diverse. He's currently writing his first coursebook series for FTD Education in Brazil.
James is also a podcast producer and consultant, including for the ELTON-nominated TEFL Commute podcast, IATEFL Teacher Development (TD) SIG's Developod, and Seven Skills For The Future.
