Call for proposed amendments for ABM discussion

The ABM of KOTESOL will be held during the International Conference on the 13th of October. A formal notice will be sent to all members on the 13th of September, 2013, to that effect.

Since any proposed amendments to the constitution or bylaws of KOTESOL must be included in such a notice, it is vital that they be submitted no later than 12 noon of the 12th of September, 2013. All such amendments must be submitted according to the current bylaws and constitution.

Council Meeting Derailed

The KOTESOL National Council meeting scheduled for 10am August 31st failed to reach a quorum due to a train collision north of the Daegu train station early Saturday morning. The collision between KTX and Mugunghwa passenger trains cancelled all northbound rail service for several hours.

A number of Seoul-bound KOTESOL council members were delayed at DongDaegu Station for nearly an hour before the decision to cancel service was announced. For those south of the accident, KORAIL recommended taking commercial bus service to Daejeon or Seoul. The Express Bus Terminal adjacent to...

Nominations for KOTESOL elections are currently open, and the deadline for submitting applications is August 31, 2013.

May we remind you, those who joined or renewed their one-year memberships at last year's International Conference are NOT eligible to vote in this election unless they renew membership. (Memberships activated at one year's conference expire on September 30th of the following year). If you join/renew membership at the time you pre-register or on-site at the conference, you will be allowed to vote on-site.

March Meet-Up

On Saturday 9th March, the Jeju Chapter had a lunch meet up at Harry's Pub in Jeju City.
