To all members of the Busan-Gyeongnam Council chapter:
It's time to elect our chapter council officers! Nominations for positions are open until Sunday, November 14. Online voting will be open until Sunday, November 21. Our election results will be announced shortly after and our council offers will have an online meeting via zoom at the end of November to discuss chapter goals for 2021/2022. Any current KOTESOL member in the Busan-Gyeongnam chapter is encouraged to apply for a position. Fill out the google form below and send a photo to bgkotesolpres@gmail.com.

All KOTESOL members with current membership status are eligible to vote, and will receive the electronic ballot via email to the email address they have indicated in their KOTESOL membership. Below are descriptions of positions, and nominees will be uploaded to this site as their applications are received. Meetings and events will be held online via zoom, according to current Covid 19 safety regulations, until further notice.
Descriptions of Council Member Positions:
President:
- organizes meetings and arranges speakers
- files reports to the national council (about 3 times a year)
- delegates duties in order to help meetings run smoothly
- attends national council meetings (about 3 times a year)
- serves as the liaison between the national council and the local chapter
Vice President:
- assists the president with running meetings
- assists in arranging speakers
- can attend national council meetings in place of the president
Treasurer:
- maintains the bank account of the organization
- helps arrange funds for membership events
- fills out quarterly reports for securing funding from the national organization
Secretary:
- creates and maintains events on the KOTESOL chapter facebook page
- publishes the Busan-Gyeongnam KOTESOL newsletter
Webmaster
- uploads news and events and maintains the KOTESOL chapter website
Membership Officer
- keeps a record of attendance for the chapter meetings
- helps recruit new members
- organizes social events
- helps to retain current members
Officer at Large
- acts in advisory capacity for all matters of the chapter
- helps with events and assists the council
