How can I get to the conference?

This year, we’re on third floor of the COEX (south side), in rooms 317-326 and Hall C4. The escalator nearest the West Gate, just outside Hall A4, will bring you directly to conference registration and our exhibitor space.

The nearest subway stop is Samseong Station (Line 2). Detailed directions, along with photos, are available here.

Here is a floor plan of the conference area.

Where can I pick up my conference pass?

If you're attending the conference on Saturday and Sunday only, you may pick up your pass in the registration area, which will be across from Hall C4. The easiest way to get there is to take the escalator closest to the West Gate (in the southwest corner of COEX, just outside Hall A4). If you take that escalator, when you get off on the 3rd floor, Hall C4 will be on your left, and Onsite Registration will be on your right. If you have pre-registered, walk past Onsite Registration and through the double doors leading to the conference rooms; you'll see Pre-registration ahead of you. Your pass will be filed under your last/family name (ex: Hong, Kim, Smith).

If you purchased a 3-day pass or a Friday-only pass, you may pick up your pass at the pre-conference workshop registration table outside Room 317 (see below).

Presenters, to get your passes, you'll continue past Pre-registration to the Presenters Lounge.

Conference registration hours:

Saturday, 10/10
8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday, 10/11
8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Conference passes will NOT be available after 1 p.m. on Sunday--even if you have pre-registered and paid.

Where can I pick up my pre-conference (Friday) workshop pass?

You may pick up your 3-day pass or Friday-only pass on Friday (10/9) at the workshop registration table outside Room 317. Registration will be open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

What time does the conference finish?

The last presentation of the weekend finishes at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday--but that’s not the end! All members are invited to the 2015 Annual Business Meeting, 4:55 - 5:55 p.m. At the meeting, the results of the KOTESOL national election will be announced, and members will be invited to vote on a proposed amendment to the KOTESOL Constitution & Bylaws.

Will there be coffee onsite again this year?

There is a coffee shop onsite in the English Expo (exhibitor) space; just head to the back of Hall C4, near the plenary stage. Browse the exhibitor displays while you’re there!

Will there be a membership social event again this year?

Yes! All members are invited to the Members Social & Networking Event on Saturday night (10/10), from 6:15-7:15 p.m. More information is available here.

Are there lunch places nearby?

Yes! Conference attendees can get light refreshments in the coffee shop in Hall C4; for more substantial fare, head downstairs to the COEX basement. There’s also a food court that can be accessed by a stairwell just outside (north of) the West Gate, and a variety of restaurants outside the West Gate, as well.

Can I get an attendance certificate?

Yes. Conference attendance certificates are available upon request. Just stop by the conference help desk on Saturday or Sunday; if you're attending just the Friday pre-conference workshops, you may pick up a certificate at the workshop registration table.

Can I get a discounted parking pass?

No discounts are available on COEX parking. Parking is very expensive at the convention center; we recommend taking public transportation or a taxi. For more information about parking at the COEX, please visit the COEX’s information page.
