This first half of 2019 has been wonderful for Korea and for KOTESOL. The weather has been beautiful for hosting a spring full of chapter workshops across the peninsula, chapter conferences in three corners of the nation, and just recently our national conference in Jeonju. Introducing the Women & Gender Equality SIG

The purpose of the Women & Gender Equality SIG is to provide a positive environment for women teachers (including women who are trans and gender non-binary, Korean nationals and Korean diaspora, and expat women of color) in Korea to discuss gender issues and to create a platform to educate teachers on gender issues in the ROK and as global citizens. Welcome to the 2019 International Conference Publicity Team

The Korea TESOL International Conference (IC) is the biggest event on the KOTESOL calendar, with about two-hundred sessions and close to a thousand attendees.  It is a big event with a lot to offer, and the IC publicity team plays a huge role in getting the word out and ensuring that all the pertinent information is available and easy to find.

Representatives Chosen for International Partner Conferences

Diversity Committee Formed

In its efforts to promote inclusiveness and strengthen diversity within Korea TESOL as an teachers' organization, the National Council approved the creation of an ad hoc Diversity Committee.

The committee is tasked with discussing and proposing actionable means by which KOTESOL can increasingly be welcoming to all EFL professionals.

The KOTESOL 2019  National Conference is inviting presentation proposals!

This year's national conference theme is "Motiva(c)tion: Sparking Learner Motivation in our Evolving Context."

The conference will be held May 25th (Saturday) at Jeonju University.
