Our chapter will be having workshops in each of our three cities: Daejeon, Cheongju, and Cheonan.

Daejeon

Location:  Pine Room, Woosong Tower 13th Floor

This sharing workshop is open to everyone. Newbies in the EFL field or to Daejeon are welcome to join seasoned teachers to gain valuable insight and ideas to use in the classroom.

The afternoon will begin with a meet & greet time to learn more about KOTESOL and to get to know other English language teachers followed by a relaxed session of successful 10 minute student engaging activities for the classroom. After the open sharing forum of everyone’s great ideas, we will order off of Solpine's menu to continue our socializing.

The chapter will provide snacks and drinks during the session. However, attendees will be responsible for purchasing their own meal.

Schedule:
3:00 - 3:30 Meet & Greet (Pine Room, Woosong Tower 13th Floor)
3:30 - 5:30 Open sharing forum: bring a quick idea that has worked in your classroom. Present and demonstrate it to the other attendees who will participate in the hands-on activity. (Time limit 20’/activity including discussion)
5:30 - 6:30 Dinner at Solpine Restaurant

Cheongju: Come to the Cheongju workshop on March 28th at Cheongju University. Andreas Varsakopoulos will be giving a presentation that looks at recent trends in digital learning platforms, and how they can be used in the classroom. This will be a chance to learn more about KOTESOL, about upcoming events planned by your local chapter, and to meet other educators in the Cheongju area. Cheonan: "Share Your ESL Story" workshop

Location: Paul Bassett 신세계충청점

Hosted by: The Kotesol Daejeon-Chungcheong Chapter, David Devora, and Rolandra Lee.

David and I will be discussing the topic of "how we got into teaching ESL" and also give other people an opportunity to share their story while asking questions and getting to know each other.

We will also distribute publications and other useful information for teachers, new or established. We hope to plan for future training events based on your needs and ideas that we will gather at this venue.

There will be an optional dinner to continue the networking and socializing. We will vote on a restaurant at that time. Contact: David Devora <davedevora@gmail.com>
